Ultherapy

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is a safe, FDA-cleared non-surgical treatment that helps you reverse the signs of aging skin and fight gravity. This treatment tightens your skin by activating your body’s restorative powers using ultrasound energy.

What areas does Ultherapy treat?

Ultherapy treats several areas on the face, including the:

  • Brow area
  • Under-chin area
  • Neck

These are the parts of your face that aging and gravity affects most, which is why the natural ultrasound skin tightening in these areas is so effective.

Although the treatment focuses mainly on these areas, Ultherapy can give you overall skin tightening and lift. Ultherapy can also treat the décolletage area very effectively.

How does Ultherapy work?

The ultrasound energy works in your deep skin layers, causing a mild agitation that triggers your natural restorative response. Your body then gradually produces new collagen, which is what you need to firm, tighten, and lift your skin.

How long does Ultherapy take?

Ultherapy sessions can vary depending on the number of treatment areas. Usually, a face-and-neck combination treatment takes around an hour, while a décolletage area treatment takes about 30 minutes. Because there’s no recovery time needed, you can schedule the treatment whenever it’s convenient and get back to your day immediately.

When will I see results after my Ultherapy treatment?

You might enjoy a mild skin-tightening effect right away. It usually takes your body around two or three months to create new collagen, so you can expect the ideal results at around that time.

How many Ultherapy sessions should I have?

Most patients only need one session. If your skin is particularly loose, you might benefit from an additional treatment session. Dr. Chen advises you on how many treatments you may need for optimal results. Your metabolism and biological response to Ultherapy can also impact the number of treatments needed.

How long do Ultherapy results last?

Results are different for everyone, as each individual ages differently. Your new collagen is subject to the same gradual depletion as older collagen is, so it slowly decreases as you age. But, Ultherapy treatments around once a year from Dr. Chen can help you maintain a youthful look long term.
